Organic food is so common nowadays but what about organic lip balm? Have you tried it before?

I know we tend to ‘eat’ our lip balms accidentally, if it’s organic, it should be safer if the materials go into our body.  By the way, the defination of organic lip balm according to Eco Lips is  lip balm made with nutrient rich organic ingredients.

Organic ingredients are derived from plants grown and produced without the use of conventional non-organic pesticides, insecticides, herbicides and other chemicals. All organic lip balms should host the USDA Organic Seal.

There are quite a number of organic lip balms found in the market worldwide.  Eco Lips is among the more popular and reliable brands. I like the grape flavor. There are a series of flavoured balm, coconut flavor tastes smells so tropical, I wish it is edible.

Another brand of my favorite is Australian’s Organic Island Shell Lip Balm. The price is much higher than Eco Lips  though but I simply like its concept of  island, beach and sea shells……they blend naturally and I’ve never tried the product yet in fact.  I hope its functionality matches with its natural portray.

Balm Balm is another organic lip balm specially made for sensitive lips and skin.  It is from UK and claims to be 100% organic and petrochemical free.

Eco Lips series is only 90% organic. Certain ingredient such as vitamin E is not available organically, that’s the reason. However, it’s not the point of this article to argue about the organic content of different lip balms. The importance of organic ingredients usage in lip balm is stressed instead.

Balm Balm, I like its name and pot form container. Balm is meant to heal and soothe the skin. From its popularity on the net and petrochemical free statement, I guess I should order one soon. It’s only RM20 (1RM=0.28USD), within my budget for a lip balm of organic standard.

So lips,  let’s go green! :)
